Associate Producer, Interactive Media Maryland Public Television is a leader in the production of broadcast programming for public television. MPT's local/regional television credits include public affairs, original performance, entertainment and documentary programs for the citizens of Maryland. Beyond broadcast, MPT creates instructional videos, develops training and builds Internet sites that serve tens of thousands of students, teachers and child-care providers annually. MPT outreach activities, especially relating to arts, culture and history, take place in all areas of the state to further fulfill MPT's mission to engage, enlighten and entertain. Our state of the art television facility is located in Owings Mills, MD. The campus-like setting provides plenty of free parking and is an easy commute from any location in the greater Baltimore metropolitan area. Maryland Public Television has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Web Producer to join our Creative Services/Interactive Media Department. Will collaborate with other departments to create and edit web pages. Will develop content of pages and design page layouts and graphics. Will convert text files to HTML and provide web development services as needed or requested. We require a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and a minimum of 3 years experience in HTML and PhotoShop. Additional experience in FLASH, Java Script, PHP and/or the Drupal Content Management System is a plus. There is also the possibility of doing on-air voiceovers. Will work closely with external clients and agencies and MPT staff to produce on-air messages in Spanish for V-Me. V-Me brings a new kind of quality entertainment to Latino viewers through relationships with world-class content producers and a unique partnership with American public television stations. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Spanish (Central American accent preferred for on-air voice work) and be experienced in all phases of television production, including shooting, scripting and editing using AVID Express. Two years experience as a Producer required, experience producing sponsorship messages or marketing materials preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced television environment essential. These are part-time, evening, contractual positions starting at a rate of $8.00/ hour plus bonuses.
