Broadcast Services Coordinator Maryland Public Television is a leader in the production of broadcast programming for public television. MPT's local/regional television credits include public affairs, original performance, documentary and entertainment programs for the citizens of Maryland. MPT outreach activities, especially relating to arts, culture and history, take place in all areas of the state to further fulfill MPT's mission to engage, enlighten and entertain. Our campus-like setting in Owings Mills, MD offers plenty of free parking and is an easy commute from anywhere in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area. Maryland Public Television has an immediate opening on our Network team for a Broadcast Coordinator. Will prepare daily program logs and records schedules, schedule on-air breaks, special information announcements and missed spots. Will execute and manage underwriting contracts and assure that underwriting spots are scheduled in compliance with contracts. Will manage and maintain videotape library and tracking records. We require a HS diploma or GED and a minimum of three years of broadcast experience which included creating television logs. Basic knowledge of broadcast transmissions and Master Control operations essential.Experience with the review and interpretation of contracts preferred. Knowledge of software programs, spreadsheets and databases essential. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. We require five years of administrative or secretarial experience. The ability to compose or edit correspondence, maintain databases and compile reports essential. Proficiency with word processing and presentation software (PowerPoint) programs essential. Skill at managing multiple projects with deadlines and communicating effectively in writing, in person and over the phone essential. Experience in a nonprofit environment preferred. MPT's telephone based fundraising program offers part-time, flexible positions for persons with outstanding telephone skills, some telemarketing or fundraising experience, and a friendly, outgoing personality! Our representatives contact members and other donors to explain the benefits of membership and to solicit membership, renewal of membership or other donations. These are part-time, evening, contractual positions starting at a rate of $8.00/ hour plus bonuses.
