Once you have looked at the video, you will probably have some questions. That's why we developed the website. Here, you will find specific ways you can help your children—from birth through their school years—as they become readers. Simply click on the phrase that best describes your child or children in the menu at left. We have supplied lists of good books to read together and other things you can do make the journey to reading and beyond fun for family members and other caregivers—and, most importantly, for children, too.

We've also included a great deal of information about the video—what it is, who was in it, and ways you can use the tape with your family or neighbors to help families who want the best for their children.

Be sure to check out our success stories—and perhaps add some of your own.

This website is a tool for parents and teachers created by "The Bridges Project." The Bridges Project is a school to home technology initiative funded by The U.S. Department of Education. For information on other tools created by this project, click on the"Bridges Home Page" button below.
