Toddlers are curious about everything they see. Their favorite question is often "why?" They are sorting out the world and themselves at the same time. They need to know why things work.

By reading to your children now, you are literally feeding their brains-helping them see that written words have sound and meaning. You'll never have a better chance to do this-and your toddler will be on the path to being a good reader.
