Developed in 1999, Ready to Grow is a unique partnership between Maryland Public Television (MPT) and child care providers like you who care for children ages 6-12. Its goal is to extend children's learning beyond school hours. The service uses quality children's educational television as a springboard for a variety of hands-on, minds-on activities you can use in just about any setting.
Ready to Grow has four basic components:
 Educational programming from MPT and PBS
Exciting activities for school-age children
Literacy
Connections for school-age children
Support for child-care providers
