Jeff Foust of Futron discusses if and when personal space travel will become a reality for those among us looking to the stars. Jeff Foust is a senior analyst and project manager with the Futron Corporation of Bethesda, Maryland. His work involves the study of current conditions and future trends in domestic and foreign commercial, civil, and military launch industries and related markets, including the emerging fields of small satellites and personal spaceflight. His previous professional experience includes work in the software and publishing industries. Separately, he operates several space-related web sites, including the weekly online journal The Space Review and the space news resource Spacetoday.net. He has a Ph.D. in planetary sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. with honors in geophysics and planetary science from the California Institute of Technology.
