Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Gifts
What Is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?
A donor-advised fund is a charitable account administered by a sponsoring nonprofit organization for the sole purpose of supporting charities. Individuals can contribute cash, stocks, or other assets into the DAF and receive an immediate tax deduction. Those funds are invested for tax-free growth, and the individual can recommend donations to charities of his/her choice over time.
DAFs provide a simple, tax-efficient and flexible way to give, making it easy for you to support your favorite charities while maximizing your philanthropic giving potential.
How to make a donor-advised fund grant to MPT?
If you have a donor-advised fund and would like to recommend a gift to MPT, please instruct your DAF custodian to make checks payable to the MPT Foundation and mail them to the following address:

Attn: Lauri-Ann Dacosta
11767 Owings Mills Blvd.
Owings Mills, MD 21117-1499
The MPT Foundation’s EIN/TIN is 52-1224503
Please keep in mind that when making a gift through your donor-advised fund, IRS rules prohibit your receiving goods or services in exchange for your gift; therefore, you are not eligible to receive a thank-you gift when giving via a donor-advised fund.
